Tiger Woods Crushed By Y. E. Yang

E-mail
Tiger Woods went into the final round of a major with a 2 stroke lead. Tiger was 8-0 when leading a major after 54 holes and would surely get Y. E. Yang to crumble as he had P. Harrington just a week earlier in the final round. Tiger Woods would walk away with his 15th major championship in pursuit of 18, then 19 to break the record.

Well, Y. E. Yang had other plans and he hunted down Tiger, played with him for a while, and then beat the Tiger into a little pussycat as he prevailed by 3 strokes. That is a 5 stroke turnaround on what many will say is the greatest golfer in the world! Yang, the 110th ranked golfer in the world, just crushed the world's number 1 golfer!

Tiger Woods will now be on those countdown shows where they rank the greatest upsets in sports history. This one will surely rank in the top 20, maybe even the top 10. It felt as though I was reliving Mike Tyson being knocked out by Buster Douglas in Tokyo! Except it was worse. Tyson didn't train and he always faded late in fights. Sunday is Tiger's day! Just because he's Tiger the golfers paird with him shoot almost 4 strokes higher than he does on Sunday. Well, Y. E. Yang didn't buy into any of it and punched the Tiger in the mouth. And Tiger didn't have an answer. I wonder if Tiger's crumble was good for golf?
