I heard the Merian is 'too short' to host the US Open in 2013. Well, people are complaining and saying the course nneds to be longer for today's players. I think the players are stronger, but the equipment they are using isn't exactly 1970's equipment! It is like the swimming guys and the new swimsuits. Water hasn't changed, but everything that is going into the water has! The people are stronger, faster, no hair on their bodies, fancy swimsuits, etc.
